Perforated Conical Strainers (Series PC - RF / FF)

Perforated Conical (PC) strainers represent a substantial performance improvement over flat style strainers. There is more open area so conical strainers clog more slowly and offer lower pressure drop losses than flat strainers.

PC strainers require an accessible section of pipe, such as a removable spool piece. Conical strainers are effective for startup applications, as well as most service requiring infrequent cleanout.
Standard Material: 14 ga. Perforated plate 1/8" dia. holes on 3/16" centers (40% open area, 33 holes/sq. in.)

Required Specifying Information
    • Strainer Style (i.e. PCS, PCL, PC)

PCS = short pattern, 150% open area relative to flow area of same size std. wt. pipe (based on 40% perf. plate)
PCL = long pattern, 200% open area relative to flow area of same size std. wt. pipe (based on 40% perf. plate)

    • Line size (e.g. 10")
    • Mating Flange class and type (e.g. 150# RF)

RF - For use with Raised Face OR Flat Face flanges. Strainer flange fits inside bolt holes
FF - For use with Flat Face flanges. Strainer flange has bolt holes / circle matching mating flanges.
RJ - For use with Ring Joint flanges
